Outfit Post – Paisley Short Shorts
Tonight we went to The Diner for a cheeky girls’ dinner – it’s one of my favourite places, mostly because they do the BEST Long Island Iced Tea (my drink of choice). I love this drink so much I think I actually stated that I want to toast at my wedding with this cocktail. Classy. It’s the best restaurant if you want all-day breakfast (the pancakes are a must) or an enthusiastic approach to portions.
Anyway, for the occasion I broke out a number that I haven’t worn in a little while, this paisley romper from Topshop. I bought it way back in April and the reason I haven’t worn it is because it struggles to cover my behind, so I sort of have to wear it with tights, otherwise it might teach kids things that they aren’t ready to learn. SO anyway, slightly disturbing side-note right there. I’ve teamed the look with another Topshop number, this little lilac blouse which is ADORABLE. It has a cheeky ruffle detail on the sleeve, and then a zip down the back. I wouldn’t typically wear this on its own because, let’s face it, it doesn’t have enough going on for me. It works better (for me) as something to add to a big print, like I’ve done here.
If you could ignore my belly-pooch that has made an appearance in this outfit then I would be eternally grateful. WE ALL HAVE ONE OKAY. That’s the downside to this outfit, but it can be overcome with massive knickers. So back to the outfit, the upside to this playsuit is the print. I adore paisley in a big way, always have and always will. It’s just the most adorable print for every season. Paisley is great because it doesn’t need much with it – it’s probably the only print that I will NOT try and clash with anything, because it’s too perfect on its own.
